What is Medjet?
A medical evacuation membership program - As a member if you are ever hospitalized more than 150 miles away from home, MedjetAssist will provide comprehensive medical transportation in a medically equipped and staffed aircraft.
How is Medjet different from other evacuation benefits?
- Neither the attending physician nor the capability of the existing facility determines the merit of an evacuation
- Evacuation is to the hospital of member’s choice
- NO health questions or pre-existing condition exclusions for those under the age of 75*

How much does an evacuation cost?
Domestic air medical evacuation can average $15,000 and internationally it can exceed $75,000, but not with the MedjetAssist protection. Annual memberships are $250 for an individual, $385 for a family and short-term memberships start as low as $95.

Exended Stay (Expatriate) Membership Program*
This program is for parties that will be away from their primary U.S., Canadian or Mexican address for more than 90 consecutive days.
- Level I (91-180 days): $420 per Individual
- Level II (181-270 days): $520 per Individual
- Level III (271-365 days): $655 per Individual

WHY IS MEDIJET UNIQUE — FAQ
Q: Is MedjetAssist unique from standard travel insurance evaculation from standard travel insurance evacuation benefits because it will take me to my hospital of choice regardless of whether it is deemed medically necessary?
A: Yes. The vast majority of evacuation benefits in standard insurance will only take you to the nearest adequate facility, where as, the attending physician or the provider’s medical director will determine whether it is "medically necessary" to evacuate you; In other words, they get to decide whether or not your condition even merits a transport. With MedjetAssist, as long as the member meets the transport criteria (inpatient status at both ends) and all safety issues have been considered, the decision for transport and hospital of choice is up to our member.
Q: What else makes MedjetAssist unique from standard travel insurnace evaculation benefits?
A: Because MedjetAssist is a pre-paid membership program, all expenses of the transport are covered from bedside to bedside, where other programs can have deductibles, claims forms, co-pays and significant out-of-pocket expenses. Also, MedjetAssist has NO pre-existing condition exclusions for those under the age of 75, NO adventure travel, natural disaster, nor terrorism exclusions.
Q: Will you rescue me in any medical emergency no matter where I am?
A: Although MedjetAssist cannot guarantee evacuation from remote locations that do not have an accessible landing strip, we have a network of authorized affiliate air medical providers throughout the world. Many of these have specialized capabilities allowing better access to more remote areas. MedjetAssist will supervise the entire process from start to finish.
